How to do Swastikasana (Auspicious Pose)
Swastika is an ancient Hindu auspicious symbol which means being well and healthy. This asana tries to attain the shape of swastika with legs placed on each other. It will take some effort to create the right pose for this asana, however, you can also align the body in case you are not able to place the legs on each other.
Steps to do Swastikasana
Sit with backbone erect.Spread both the legs with a distance of 1 feet between the two legs.Bend left leg from knee and place its soul to the inner side of the right thigh.Bend right leg and place its foot in between the thigh and the calf of the leg.Keep both the wrists on the respective knees and take dhyana mudra. Observe normal breathing.
In this asana you may feel that your legs are locked, to release the asana, bring the hands beside the waist and press the floor with your palms, loosen the body, straighten the right leg then straighten the left leg in front of you as in the starting position.
